Don't Forget: Christmas Has Just Begun!

By now, much of the world has let go of Christmas. It's in the past. It's gone. No more Christmas 24/7 "Holiday" music on the radio. Hardly a peep about anything having to do with Christmas. That's what folks who don't know Christmas do. But that's not us.

So don't forget: Christmas has just begun! Today is the 4th Day of Christmas. And even when we've hit the 12th Day of Christmas, there's still more to come. The Christmas Season continues. Indeed, traditionally, folks would keep their decorations up until the Feast of the Presentation in the Temple - February 2nd. Really.

And keep playing those Christmas Carols. Even secular Christmas music if you want. You can even leave your outside decorations up for a while too - even as the neighbors strip everything away.

In fact, we've done this for years. Try it. You'll like it.

Besides, with all the C-Virus Mess nonsense continuing, even being ramped up with mandates, fear-mongering, et al, wouldn't a sharper focus on Christmas serve as the best antidote?

In that spirit, we offer something to keep us close to the spirit of Christmas as we go about our business today. It's a special Christmas prayer by a gentleman named Derek Becher which we found a while back in the Catholic publication The Wanderer.

A Special Christmas Prayer

It's a special Christmas prayer by a gentleman named Derek Becher.

Dear Lord On this lovely, holy Eve, Be with me, I pray And guide me to understand your coming, And why it is we celebrate, especially now. Help me to look beyond the presents and their flowing ribbons; Open my heart and my eyes, and help me to see and feel The suffering that shakes our Earth. Many hunger, and are cold and lonely In this world of plenty; And many stray from your light, by evil and its ways. And the hustle and bustle, How I fear it’s replaced the real joy we should feel. That starry night so long ago So quietly, peacefully, you entered our world And through your love, your guidance, your sacrifice You taught us to be good and kind to one another — to everyone. Help us to look inside ourselves To find you, So that together, we may bring true happiness and peace To everyone. Help us to look beyond ourselves So that we may embrace our world, and ease the pain.Thy night is silent; Thy night is holy. Lord, Bless everyone with the joyful calmness of Your arrival. Amen.

Wishing you a Blessed and

Happy Christmas!
