Another Monday
It's Monday again. First, some questions about this weekend: Did you watch some NFL football? Or maybe you went shopping, did some house repairs or other chores? Out to dinner and a movie? Whatever it was, here's the important question: Did you do it for the greater glory of God?
(St Ignatius of Loyola used to do everything "for the greater glory of God." In Latin, it's "ad maiorem Dei gloriam." It was and still is a kind of motto for the Society of Jesus, a/k/a the Jesuits.
If you did, congratulations! If not, you just forgot, right? Everything gets done for the greater glory of God. So now you remember. And now that the new week has begun, we all remember that it's all for the greater glory of God. Let's see if we can remind ourselves a few times during the day today, OK?
